E2E Longarm Quilting Calculator

The cost for edge-to-edge longarm quilting can be confusing, but is figured on basic math calculations from the square inches of your quilt top. It is calculated by multiplying the length x the width of your quilt top, then multiplying that number by the cost per square inch.

For example, a quilt measuring 70” x 90” would be: 70 x 90 = 6300 square inches x .025 = $157.50.

This calculation for the cost is for the basic E2E longarm quilting and does not account for dense quilting, custom or semi-custom quilting which is given as a quote before quilting. This also does not include any other services such as using choosing batting from Sweet Little Quilts or finishing services.

Binding and Facing Services Calculator

To help you calculate the cost for binding or facing finishing services, please use the calculator below. The prices are based on the linear feet around the perimeter of your quilt multiplied by the cost of the service you choose.

For a 60” x 60” quilt, if you choose to have binding applied to the front only of the quilt, ready for you to hand finish on the back (option 2), the calculations would be:

(Quilt width x 2) + (quilt length x 2) divided by 12 multiplied by 1.50 = $30.00.

What Longarm Quilting Service would you like?

We offer E2E Longarm Quilting, Custom Quilting and Semi-Custom Quilting. $45 minimum for each quilt loading. To avoid the minimum fee for each small project, you can sew together the backing fabrics, or use one continuous fabric to avoid the minimum fee. Each time a new backing has to be loaded, the $45 minimum fee applies. Example: If you want two Euro shams quilted (usually at 26" x 26") use one backing fabric for both shams at 34" x 60". There is only one backing loaded and the shams will be quilted on the same backing, side-by-side or top-to-bottom depending on the backing and design layout. This same idea can apply to smaller projects like bag sections, stockings, pillows, etc. Let me know if you have any questions.

Batting Options

You may send your own batting. If you would like to use the batting I have in stock, please know that the options, variety, manufacturer change from time-to-time based on availability, current preferences, etc. If you have a specific batting in mind, that is not listed, please let me know.

Quilting Pattern

$.025/square inch. $45/minimum Do you know the E2E design you would like quilted? If so, please list it.Please note that there are more available than what is listed on the website. If you are unsure, please let me know and we will send recommendations to fit what you have in mind.

How do you prefer the quilting density? This is just to start the conversation. We will determine the best quilting when finalizing the quilting plans.

Please list your preference for thread color. I quilt with Glide 40wt unless another thread is approved.

Binding/Facing Services ($1.50-$4.00/linear foot)

Trimmings

We trim the extra batting and backing away from the top after quilting so it is ready for binding.

Returning the Quilt

We love sharing photos of your quilt. Do you give permission to share your quilt through social media and other promotional materials.
